Wierd power steering

I installed a new PSC power steering box into my truck the other day and I noticed some wierd characteristics. When I turn the wheel to the left it doesn't even feel like it's connected the steering is so light. It also doesn't want to return to center very easily. When I turn it to the right it feels just as stiff as factory did and returns to center very rapidly. I talked to PSC and they said give it a day or two as there may be some trash caught up somewhere that might work itself out. If not they'll send me another box. I did flush all of the lines before installing the pump. Yall got any ideas on this? Thanks.

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention that one of the alignment cams on the axle is facing all the way down right now(drivers side). You think that might have an effect on my funky steering?

Well I twisted the cam bolts all the way forward to see if that would help but it didn't. Any other ideas yall?

Even after 2 days of driving? I'm gonna bleed the lines again either today or tomorrow and see if I can't flush some air or trash out of the pump.

Anybody got any other ideas? I've tried flushing the lines again and that didn't change anything. I really don't wanna have to pull this thing back off if there's something I can do. Maybe an adjustment? I didn't adjust it before I put it on there. Should I have?

Adjusting it may or may not help, but that may affect the warranty of the box.

Ok. Glad to know that I am the only one. I know they had a hold up due to some machining problems right when my box was being built so maybe I got one of the mess up's. Thanks for the help yall.

I would question the "trash in the system" comment. What trash would be in the system. If they are referring to debris leftover from machining the parts, I would be very disappointed in their manufacturing.
There should be no trash or debris in a hydraulic system, just clean oil.
If they are concerned about machining debris in the steering sytem, I would return their box and find another company to do business with.

I would have to agree with that for sure. Dirt in a hydraulic system will make a mess in a real hurry.

Cleanliness is key.

Steel debris is not good......

Apparently you can get trash in the power steering system just like you can in the brake system and that is the trash they are talking about. No biggie though. Called them this morning and they are going to machine a new box for me and ship it out. No questions asked. I'll let yall know how the new box does. Thanks for the help.

I shouldn't have opened my month about my "Great PSC Box" because now the top cover is leaking. I am going to try and tighten the four bolts but some how I don't think that will help. Who did you talk to BigBlue I think I am going to need to make a phone call. And are they making you send your old box in first or are they sending you one now?

And which one did you buy? I bought the 841M, I see now they have one for the Cummins Engine. Did I buy the wrong dang box?
