wierd wobbly steering feeling ?

anyone have thier auto truck steering shimmy when the tc locks up. it doesn't do it all the time and everything looks tight but sometimes when the tc locks and im on the beans it shakes the steering wheel. not so bad like it will pull the wheel from my hands but enough to P me off. if i let off the go pedal then it stops and i can accelerate but not really hard. never noticed it before and i just replaced pads, rotors, rt f wheel bearing and u-joint. sorta odd that it doesn't do it until 40-45mph when the tc locks up. i hit the train tracks at 65 just to see and no wobble. went down the gravel road at 60 and nothing just sometimes when tc locks.

Yeah mine did it when the TC locked up at 45-50. It always disappeared around 50, and if I was romping on it and the TC didn't lock up till after 50 it wouldn't do it, but between 45-50 it was bad (almost death wobble). Then I put a leveling kit on and had full fledged death wobble. So I replaced a bad wheel bearing, went through all my tie rod ends, and put a luke's link on my track bar, as well as an alignement. No more death wobble, but it still has the little shake between 45-50 with the TC locked. I have some poly bushings for my control arms, so I'll see what that does...

I agree. I couldn't believe it when I reached under there and squeezed the control arms you can actually flex the lower halves of them with your hands! Just another reason I wanna put my Cummins into a 90s F350...

Happened to me between 45-50 when I accelerated fast. It was the track bar.

I get a vibration in lock-up on my 94 dually. The old girl has unkown mileage (it is probaly alot). My guess is that new engine and trans mounts and a rebuilt front end would probaly smooth things out.
