Wierd power problem

So here it goes, I hope I can describe this problem accuratly. When accelerating from a stop the rpm's come up smothly untill about 1500 then its like the truck hits a SERIOUS head wind and losses power once the rpms hit about 1800 it all comes back. It seems to do it sparaticly, some times it doesnt do it at all, sometimes you can barly notice it and some times its really bad to the point where I have considered turning around and parking the truck. It also seems to do it worse once the temps get below 40, during the summer its fine. I thought it might be my EZ so I unplugged it, It still did it but not as noticeable probly cause it had less power. Im really at a loss on this one, Ive been thinking about selling the truck and what ever this turns out to be might be the desiding factor.

Sorry for the long post. Any input is much appreciated

have you pulled codes?
sounds like dead pedal (search dead pedal)

could be APPS
Could be VP
Could be low/no fuel pressure

until you pull codes your basically shooting in the dark

The only codes I have are P1693 Ive been told this is a companion code, and a Po577 cruse control. I have checked fuel pressure to the VP and it holds a constant 15 under all driving conditions. I hope it isnt the VP. How much is a Timbo APPS? I might just replace my APPS and hope thats it.
