Wierd steering
Wierd steering
At slow speeds ( under 50k/ph) when turing corners, when im turning the truck it will shoot left or right depending on which way im turning, then to get it back i have to jerk the wheel the opposite way. It really tough to describe. I jacked it up looked at the ball joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings and every thing looks and feels tight. I had the mechanic that installed my lift look at it too and he cant see anything. So he told me to take off the steering stabilizers to see if they may have been binding. It is still doing it. Is it my steering box? My track bar? any other ideas? My track bar has never been replaced.

it probably won't help a lot, but I just had the same problem with an 05 3500.
Turned out the steering box was shot, ended up stuffing a new one in it the other night, seems to have cured the issue.
Believe me, as normal, I diagnosed it to death before changing any parts, that is what I came up with.
