oil filter antiflow back

I'm currently running a carquest oil filter witch is supposes to be wix. I see there no antiflow valve in it. Does the cummings or dodge filter have one? Right now when the truck sits over night it will take some time for oil pressure to build. I realize there some delay in the gauge, but this is too long. When i changed the oil i noticed the oil filter was half emptey so i know the oil is draining back and has to refill the filter every start up.

thanks
dan

dont know about any filters with anti-drain back for these trucks, but ive always run napa gold which is supposed too be a wix filter also. had 3 cummins all took long time to build oil pressure. if it woories you too much ive had guys talking about pre oilers, maybe you could go that route. another thing your filter should not be half full when you remove it mine always runs over when i unscrew mine.

Yes they are suppose to have the anti-drain back feature, and the pressure relief.

There is no anti drainback valve in the engine, and none on the filters I've seen. My filter is mostly full when I remove it. I'm sure what's missing siphons off, from the layout it looks like the turbo supply line would be what would break the siphon effect.

The reason it takes a few seconds for oil pressure to show on the gauge is NOT due to an actual lack of pressure, but to a delayed reaction from the ECM sending the signal to the gauge.
Oil pressure is really there almost instantly, it just takes a bit for the computer to catch up with the gauge.
As for the oil filters,.......nothing but Fleetguard goes on my Cummins.
