Slipping clutch and oil spot on back side of oil pan
Lately I've been having problems with my G-56 slipping in 3-6th gear when I get on the loud pedal real hard. Thought it was my tuner but I'm not so sure as it slips with out it. Haven't run the tuner hard at all, just low tunes.
I took it into the dealer and sure enough they couldn't get it to do it. This was a month ago and 1500 mi later (now have 37500).
While filling my truck up I pulled the dipstick and it was 2 quarts low. I know the issue with this, but even after 10 min it still was 2 qts low. Only 2500 mi on the oil change. I'm going to let the truck sit the night and I'll confirm.
I wasn't alarmed until I crawled under the truck and found a spot of oil about the size of a softball that is on the back side of the pan in between the tranny and appears to be seeping from up in that area, but no oil from the bottom of the tranny housing.
Is it possible that the rear main is leaking and causing the clutch to slip? Is there a TSB on this?
If the motor is indeed leaking oil on the clutch, does the motor warranty cover any other affected parts?

if the rear main is leaking it will destroy a clutch quickly. call dealer today and ask them and explain it was in their shop under warranty and problem was not fixed so they cant say you have 37,500 miles not bumper to bumper warrranty
It could be a leak from the rocker box or valve cover and yes oil from here will get on your clutch also. I would take it back in. You are close to the 3/36,000 miles. I wouldn't waste any time getting there.
