How hot is the oil from the turbo back to the filter?
I'm thinking of puting a temp sensor in the turbo oil line back to the filter. How hot is it so I can get the right gauge and sender range?

Thanks in advance

There is a problem with trying to install a guage in the turbo return, as that is a drain only line and does not carry enough oil in the line to give an accurate reading. It just dribbles out of the turbo bearing and drains down the tube.

If you come up with a scheme to trap enough oil to get a temperature reading, you will need a guage that goes to at least 450 degrees F.

A post turbo oil temperature guage is also pretty meaningless, as the oil temperature from the turbo will run really high on a pull and heavy load, and very low on a regular drive with no load.
