ok....heres My question.....how long can the ip run with out the lift pump running?....will it toast it immediatly or????

 

It depends on the IP, but they will run without the LP. How long it will run is the issue.

 

about 1500$ worth of time. the ip dont suck fuel. park it unless yer rich

 

The problem isn't so much that it won't run without the LP providing fuel (although sometimes it won't), but the LP provides excess fuel that is circulated through the IP for cooling. If the IP is just pulling the fuel it needs, you're running the IP hotter than it should and the electronics HATE heat.

 

ok....but if it ran for 200 miles.....and there are no codes and everything seems fine......is it possible it is not damaged?

 

Hopefully it will be fine, but don't worry about that now. I would get a new LP on there pronto if the old one is bad!

 

already installed...like I said...she ran about 100-150kms with out the lift pump working.....but she seems like she is ok now...the ip I mean. The ip was replaced by DC 2 months ago so I hope I didn't damage it

 

How much longer is it under warranty?

Detree; Your profile says more to come, do your self a big favor and get a fuel pressure gauge as soon as posible.
You might have dodged the (P0216) bullet due to the cool temperatures that you have up north, but usually the VP44 doesn't last long with out at least 5 psi fuel pressure.
