What's the worst repair / mod that you've come across that made you think, "Dang, I'm a pro compared to this ****?"

A guy posted over in the 3rd gen engine and drivetrain about his method of doing a shackle lift on his 06 dually, this would not be my preferred method

I know I've seen some wicked stuff on here... my memory is a little foggy.

What does come to mind tho... Years ago when this place was hopping, we had a few instigators... One of them put up a post about adding an either assist on his 3rd gen and how excited he was about it. I didn't want to give him grief on the open forum, so I messaged him and was like, hey man, that's really dangerous for our trucks, etc., etc.,... he went on to argue with me for a solid 10-15 messages trying to start something... I didn't let him push my buttons, and finally he gave up and said he was just trying to stir the pot...

I banned him

It's adjacent, but not a ram. I took my 2003 F250 7.3 Diesel to a reputable diesel shop in town for a slew of work to be done on it--just didn't have the time to tackle it myself. He did great work on new Stage 1 custom injectors, glow plugs, new compressor, rebuilt my oil pump, replaced front main seal, balancer and LPOP and then he asked if I had anything else I wanted him to do and I said I had some new 2010 rear view mirrors I wanted to put on but it involved some custom wiring work. He said they absolutely could do that. These mirrors had turn signals and running lights on them and were power mirrors replacing my non-lighted power mirrors. When I got the truck back, it ran great, the mirrors were on, but he said that the running lights for the mirrors were acting funny and he didn't hook into my turn signals becuase it would have been a lot more expensive. One mirror light came on with the headlights like it should... and the other came on with the dome light of the truck...??? It killed me so I opened up my door panels and found some fantastic wiring:

One or two connections used an actual butt connector. The rest were simply spun together wires... and some of those spun together wires had cloth tape around them. Some did not. Needless to say, I had a few words for him. I think he had too much work going at the time and had a young shop guy do the work and he just hacked it. I fixed it all, wired in my turn signals, and got a little comped work out of him.
