Help...missing and low power

Truck ran perfect last night..tons of power. Today I drove it and I noticed it seemd a bit slugish...no biggy....When I put the truck in park it misses. I tried the apps reset and that didnt help...checked the intercooler elbows, they are all good. FP is at 20+ no codes...what could I be missing?

Mine too. I bought fuel at some different places, Went to Nashville and back, It ran good most of the way but a little gutless every now and again in the hills. I wonder if it is just bad fuel...

u gotta be kidding me!! this is a brand new pump!! it only does it(seems like) if it is above 45 degrees outside...if its cold out (not engine temp) it runs awesome.

Could one of the injector lines be leaking? slightly? You could loosen each one one at a time to find the cylinder that is doing it.

my father was having the same problem that it sounds like you are having. he also has a 98 24 valve and one day he came home and he said it was lacking power and when you put it in park it would miss. so we backed each injectors out at a time just to see if they were getting fuel. they were so we had tried to replace the lift pump and it still was doing it. so then we tried to put all new injectors in it because we thought maybe one might have had a burnt tip. we were trying to fix the cheapest things first. still did not help so we replaced the fuel pump and that fixed it. but it is deffently not a cheap problem to fix by the time it was fixed the bill was a little over 5,000 dollars no lie from cummins.

I remember reading a post by Don M about a cylinder miss. It turned out to be a sliver of connector tube didn't let the injector tube seat to the injector. I don't guess it'd be real difficult to check.
Another thing to check, kill the pusher pump as a test warm and in park and see if the 20psi is a problem.

ok..I can do that...all mods are fairly new and have low miles on them. Truck has ran perfect ecpet 2 VP deaths. I did just have a leaking inj tube, but my dealer fixed the fuel leak..I wonder if that is still giving me the problem??
