Adding Fluid to transfer case

How do you add fluid to transfer case? Not much room to work under there.I'm spilling most of it so far.I've tried a large screw driver shank and letting it run down, not working to good.Tried a small funnel with a tube working a little better, but spilling about half.
thanks tony3542

I use a suction gun and push it into the case.

There is a spout you can get that screws right onto the bottle. It has an on/off valve and a long, straight hose.

Go down to your local auto parts store, where you can buy a plastic pump that screws into most quart-sized jugs of gear oil. It comes with a couple of feet of clear, plastic hose with an end that helps hold inside the fill hole on the case. Just pump it in until it starts to come out...be careful not to overtighten the plug when you put it back in.

There are actually two types of these pumps at the auto stores. One with the big cap, and one with the little cap depending on what container you have. I keep several of both around so that I can use a separate pump for each type of fluid.

The one in the add fits 3 sizes of bottles. The ones I have are made to fit gallon bottles, but the end of the hose has a clip that will hold it in the hole and you can use 2 hands to hold the pump onto quart bottles and pump as well.

I have been to just about every parts store we have around here and cant find anything like that. A suction gun is about as close as I can find.

Thx.
