Red face fuel filter canister drain valve for a 99 Dodge Cummins Ram

Does anyone have any idea where I could get the fuel filter canister drain valve for a 99 Dodge Cummins Ram? I believe the Mopar part number is 4882439. Cummins says it is a Mopar only part so they do not have it, and Mopar says it was discontinued in 2008 and they do not have any. I have attached an image of the part.

If it's just leaking just replace the orings inside it.

Most auto parts stores have an o-ring selection in a box. It's pretty easy to find the right one. I have done this for several different things with no problem.lol

I tried but no parts stores, nor an excavator company w/a big shop, an implement company, none of them had the right size o-ring.

How about a hydraulics/hose shop?

Where are you in MT?

I'm in a little town of 800 people where the closest town w/businesses that could help being 50 miles away. I plan to call an hydraulic shop tomorrow and check with a few other salvage possibilities. It is ridiculous one cannot get parts for something only 14 years old. These Cummins last for 300,000. I'm just approaching 100,000.

Got some at a local hydraulic shop but now the top of the drain is leaking when I open it, so will need a replacement.

you should think about by passing the old canister and plug in a filter on the frame rail.. order parts online and have them shipped... upgrade your lift pump at the same time

Genos sells the earlier '94-'96 style filter housing as a swap for the later leak prone unit you have.
I have a that same filter on a '97 that is acting like it gets air in the system when it is not running for a bit.
My guess is it is that filter housing...or air getting in a line.
I am getting a fuel filter for it next week and will take a look at it.
