Last week I replaced my fuel filter and now I have a small amount of fuel leaking from the top of the drain valve. I'm hoping that it is possible to just replace an o-ring and not need to replace the entire fuel filter housing. Anyone else experience this? If so, were you able to just replace an o-ring? Does Cummins have the part?

 

There is a kit for this, don't have the part no. close. I have had to do both of my trucks. Don't go to the dealer, go to Cummins. Believe the kit is less than $10 and a simple install. Replaced my filter housing with one from a newer model, guess it had dried out and it started leaking pretty bad. If you have any problem finding the part no., let me know and I will find it for you.

I replaced the whole drain assembly. 4 small bolts, couple o rings, think it was about 20 bucks from the Chrysler dealer.

 

Bought the part today from the local Cummins parts distributer. It was $10.35 and the part number is 395945300 S. It is the drain valve kit and includes mounting hardware and o-rings.
