What is P1693?

I looked it up and said campainion engine control moduel fault. Or something to that effect what does that mean?

I am betting its because the switch on my xzt+ got unpluged while the truck was running but i want to see what all of you say.

It is just a "fake" code showing you that their is another code stored. It probably go away after a few starts,or you might need a scanner to get the rest of the codes.

 

I have the same code, bought a cheap scanner from Wal-mart and with the symptoms I have and the new code, its my crank position sensor... nothing like pulling the starter when its -30. Its well worth the cash... plus you can probably get a few beers out of loaning it out...
