Baldwin oil & fuel filters

I called the local Kenworth parts house and they don't carry Fleetgaurd filters but they do carry Baldwin filters. Here are the Baldwin #'s the guy gave me for each:

Oil: BT7339
Fuel: PF7751

I crossed referenced them on the Fleetgaurd website and it states they are made by Fleetgaurd? Does that sound right? Can I use these Baldwin filters?

Baldwin makes there own filters. All I run on my truck is Baldwin. Heres the correct part #'s:
-Oil = BT7339
-Fuel = PF7654

All the trucks at my job run Baldwins. We haven't had a problem with filters.

Hmmmm....

Went on the Baldwin Filters site and I had to go back to 1996 to get a different fuel filter number: BF1233

From 1997-1999 it shows the PF7751

and from 2000-2005 it shows the PF7654

So now your guess is as good as mine!

I can get the Baldwin oil filter for only $4.56 and the fuel filter for $14.47 at the Kenworth place here in town. Otherwise I have to drive 20 miles to Cummins to get the Fleetgaurd filter at $8.95 for the oil filter and $13.95 for the fuel filter. I think I'll go for the Baldwin if they are good enough. I received my Scotty fuel line kit and want to intall it and a new fuel filter this weekend.

Yeah, the Baldwins are great filters... I started using them on the recommendation of a friend because it's all they use in their big rigs... Buy 'em by the case and you get great deals! I usually get a dozen oil filters and 6 fuel filters at a time...

I see they are not on the approved oil filter list. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't be. As mentioned earlier, most Rigs run them (Cummins, Cat, Detroit, and Mack) so they must be good, considering the amount of miles these Rigs on the road put on them. When dad drove truck thats what he ran.

I been working for a large construction company here in the NorthEast and we always use Baldwin Fuel,Oil, and Air filters in everything that they own... Never had a problem.
