I noticed this brand when I was at my local big truck shop. Are these good quality filters. I had never heard of them before.

Yes they're good filters, Baldwin has been around for over fifty years and I've used them for for over thirty five years myself. I know some purists only like to use Fleetgaurd but Baldwins are easier to find on the road than Fleetgaurd.

Baldwins have been protecting dad's farm equipment for 30 years. Before that when he worked in the Caterpillar Dozer Factory, Badwin filters were on new Cat engines, and then the engine was painted yellow. We have had very few fuel system problems, and no engine failures. Any problems with drive trains or fuel systems were never from dirt getting past the filters.

We have a Cat tractor on the farm, I was helping him service. He pulled the filter off and passed it to me, I opened the Baldwin box and the filter was painted yellow with the Cat emblem and part number already on it. To me this means Cat is still using Baldwin manufactured filters.

They will protect you truck just fine.

Yes they are good quality filters. My second choice behind Fleetguard. I would use Baldwin before any junk auto parts store filters. Since Fleetguard filters are readily available to me from Scheids locally, they are what I use. If you can't find Fleetguard locally or have a problem with ordering them online, use Baldwin.

Last time I went to the Cummin's place they only had Baldwin's in stock... No Fleetgaurds... Made me go "ermm"...

The whole fleet at work has Baldwins. We have not had a filter related problem. If you can get them for a good price (around $5 for oil and $10 for fuel) go ahead and use 'em.

I did a Google on oil filter reviews recently and found that the Baldwin's were toward the top in quality and performance. FWIW, it's my understanding that Amsoil filters are in fact made by Baldwin.

Great filters. My father in law works as a mechanic for a Kenworth dealer and that's all they use. He get's them to me at his cost. I pick up 3 sets of oil and fuel each for both my '93 CTD and my '02 Ford PSD for around $75.00- I like to stock up a year at a time. Carmyne

Excellant Filters! I've ran Baldwins on my 24v for 2 years. My Dad always ran them on his OTR trucks. Baldwins have MILLIONS of miles logged on them with no problems.
