Baldwin Oil Filters?

Are the Baldwin oil filters any good? I don't see them listed as an approved filter. Who uses them, and are there any issues with them? I ordered a couple of the and they look about the same as the Fleetguards.

I use them on both my trucks and have never had a problem. At work we use them on a fleet of several hundred garbage trucks and have never heard of a problem.

I also use the Baldwins. No complaints from me. The BT7349 is rated at 30 micron absolute, 14 micron nominal.

I use Hastings which is Baldwin for all the filters on my truck and all the equipment I take care of.

In my opinion Baldwin/Hastings are the best filters for the money.

Is the baldwin BT7349 comparable to the FG stratporre?? Ive been using the 3894 but they are getting expensive and the baldwin might be a good option. TIA

Anyone ever use the K&N oil filters? I haven't but they sure look easy to remove with that nut on the bottom.

Currently using Fleetgaurd...

The Stratapore is slightly better than the Baldwin. The Stratapore is rated at 25 micron absolute vs. 30 micron for the Baldwin.

MikeyB pretty much covered it.

The Baldwin BT7349 is the best cellulose filter available. Next best is Stratapore and the best is Donaldson Endurance ELF7349 or Amsoil EaO80.

The Donaldson ELF 7349/Amsoil EaO80 are 15 micron. The Amsoil filter only cost me $4.95 more then a Fleetguard Stratapore and IMHO is well worth the small cost for the extra protection it gives.

Thank you Mikey. With that being said maybe I'll just stick with the FG stratpore.
