yet another 3200 sping thread

mostly it's gone off without a hitch. i was not able to use den's trick to leave the full power screw untouched, all the wire and sting i used wouldn't "slide" out. so i just backed out the screw and moved on. unfortunately before that when i was taking off the throttle spring, i broke a piece off the lower plastic piece. i am going to give super glue a shot then get it back together and fire it up. since my little bro is out of town my "in the meantime vehicle" is his corvette, so for the first time i don't mind the extra run to the store also do i need to prime the fuel system at all, that seemed like a lot of fuel when i took the pump top off.

ok, i got the install finished. the piece was easy to repair and the rest of the job went off without a hitch. i had a little scare half way through when i looked at the old spring and saw what i thought was 366 on it. lol it was 386 but had me worried for a bit. the truck started up without even stumbling, though the idle was a little low. easiest way to fix that is turn in the full power screw ) so that's what i did. unfortunately it's rainy and wet so i can't get a real feel for the new spring. it does have power up into and above 3000 which i know will be nice! thanks for all the help on here, den's write up was great!

Unhappy spring

never g tech it before but my buddy is going to do the spring on his so Ill gtech before and after, I assumed mine was stock but it is hard to tell now, the truck had a rebuilt head when i got it. The injectors look recent, and the pump was turned up about 145 degrees according to the dodgeramorg spect ,i did turn it down due runnaway condition. sorry you will have to wait a week or so.

Might want to check out the G tech site and see the tips on the horsepower/torque runs. They suggest a slower start rolling 1st out shifting to 2nd and hammering it and then once into 3rd letting off and stopping the run on the unit.

Also the readings are 'net horsepower'. Unlike a chassis dyno you also have to remeber it's calculating horsepower after including wind drag on the vehicle.

gtech

the highest was at the end of second gear, as far as it being net, it was pretty accurate on my wifes car, 4 hp off from the dyno in favor of the dyno. Its a nice thing to have.

well after driving the truck for serveral more days and in different situations i'd have to say that i feel the hype of the "best thing i've ever done to the truck" and "completely changed the way it drives" "it's a whole new truck" just doesn't ring through on mine. throttle feels exactly the same. only thing different is that i can just keep revving, lol. under full load up a steep hill if was still feeling strong at 3300rpm. the problem is now i have 5-600 more rpm to watch the pyro try to peg itself!
