Edwin,
That HX-35 should have a 12CM housing just like your WH1C would have from Dodge.

Ordered a 98 Express van hydrobooster M/C combo. Tracked down adaptor fittings for P/s pump and steering gear. Need to verify booster threads so i can get adaptors for it. Then hopefully it is a fairly straight forward install.

I installed a diamond eye 4 inch turbo back stiraight pipe exhaust. It was too loud so I added a $70 Amazon muffler to it and now its just right. I also adjusted my idle back down since turning in the fuel screw 1 turn increased the Idle rpm. I also deleted the AFC by removing the spring. If I floor it it will black smoke some however it is easy to control the smoke by listening to the turbo vs foot position!

Emergency Brake light

Decided to see if I could get my emergency brake light to work .I thought when I unplugged the black box behind the glove box it killed the power to emergency brake light.Upon wiggling and shaking the wire it started lighting up.So I took the switch out and replaced it with another I had and amazingly it started working.Oh yea and I just love working under the dash of this truck I’m definitely not as flexible as I once was.

Two choices here, learn to walk on the ceiling or turn the truck upside down.

I had to install a trailer brake controller recently and my 70yo body works about as good as yours. I still have the scars.

Oh! and There's a switch for the parking brake light??? Maybe that's what the wire is hanging down there.

Cummins kinda solved that issue when they mounted that 1st Gen sideways on the wall in the corporate lobby in Columbus. Just open the door and stand up. Course you need a stepladder for it though.

My Ebrake light worked fine before I removed the entire Ebrake assembly during sound deadening and new carpet. I out sound deadening material where the two bolts go thru the firewall. Reinstalled everything and now the Ebrake light doesn't work. Haven't tried to figure out why yet! I agree, working under the dash is a pain, I was upside down and figured out quickly, my 50 year old ain't what it use to be.

IIRC there is a one wire plug in on the E-brake foot assembly. I could see how it would have been unplugged when you pulled the kick panel and did the carpet work. It lights up when the pedal is depressed or not all the way up.
That would be the first place I would check.

You are correct, I made sure that one wire was definitely reconnected during reinstallation. There are a couple copper wings on the switch, I need to make sure they didn't get bent out of shape.
