I am sure it is probably because the latch is worn out,

I am going to see if a new pin can be machined so I can use a replacement derlin bushing.

Do you see any reason a 7/16 hex head cap bolt could not be machined down and used as a pin?

Just looking for a pin with an actual bushing and not what looks like a single wrap of tape.

The replacement pins don't seem to be over grade-5.
I thought about welding a bushing around the pin, or having the old one line-x applied to it.

That stuff just sneaks right up on ya, and makes you feel like you were licking the back end of a skunk the next day.

I too, am a beer man for that reason.

Merry.....ugh......Christmas

a buddy and I were riding around in his '70 Charger a year or so after we graduated, and he asked me if I wanted to try some vodka.....pretty good. he said finish the bottle (small bottle). I know he took me home.....and he had to have helped me inside.....after that....no knowledge. I woke up the next morning and had a head the size of the moon. I was cooking at a local restaurant, and it just happened to be liver and onions on special that day.....after the third trip to Ralph mu guts up.....my boss said maybe I should go home. That was over 30 years ago and I haven't touched vodka since.

That's what happens when you mix in antifreeze for flavor.

Got a missing piece for the truck today for Christmas.

It has transparent plastic eyes so I plan to put a red LED inside it to make the eyes glow red.

Merry Christmas!

We won't see the sun again for a full day until late May or June.

The stock ones don't. This is an aftermarket. I had a stock one before the paint job when it disappeared.
