That's true, but they still ban certain parts unless the manufacturer pays for the testing and certification. It's a racket I tell ya.
Yeah. Now if I want to buy AMMO I have to have it shipped to an FFL. Heck I can drive to AZ for less money.

Shoot me a PM next time your going to PECO and we'll grab a beer somewhere! Possibly the Doyle Hotel in Duncannon.
I may be moving that way for work, unless I can transfer to Georgia instead. I'll have to remember to keep my foot out of the Dodge if I ever have it down east.

I needed to pick up some prescriptions and get some Tacos for the wife so started the truck up and tried the washers to get the 1/4 inches of crud off the windshield and it acted like it was low. SO I added O'Reilly's to my stops and got 2 gallons of washer fluid. That stuff is $2.99/gal. Almost as expensive as diesel fuel. Got home and the reservoir was about 1/3 full. What's up with that???

Leaking out the washer fluid sending unit?
Hose clamp loose or loose / cracked hose?
Those would be my guess unless you where trying to clean off a really big bird dropping on the windshield on the was home.

No bird droppings on the windshield usually. I don't park under anything. It's just the smog collects the dew which falls on the truck which is to big for the garage. I refilled the reservoir and it works fine now so maybe the pickup tube has some gunk on it. I noticed it sticks up to the top of what was left in the tank. I just have to watch it and keep it full.

I park next to a guava tree and those things really stink and are a mess when you step on them. I have guava stains on the side of the truck. I have to wash it often.

Oh well. It gives me something to do and complain about.

We have a guava (guayaba in SP) tree at the place in Kino. The fruit never hits the ground because they all just love them down there. They are pretty tasty...Mark

Changed the front brake pads on my rig. Friday on the way home I heard a faint squeek while braking and immedialty went and got some pads. The drivers side had barly just touched the rivet and the rotor was still smooth so didn't bother having them turned.

That's the trouble with living near the beach, the air is always nasty sticky and messes up everything,

I can wash my truck and one trip down PCH and it is covered with sticky crud and I feel like I am dirty.

I grew up in the 60's with the surfing scene, Beach Boys and all but I hate the feeling of sand on my feet,

Maybe it is an OCD thing.

They do not last very long, even with new door pins and bushings the strikes get chewed up.

I am sure it is probably because the latch is worn out,

I am going to see if a new pin can be machined so I can use a replacement derlin bushing.

Do you see any reason a 7/16 hex head cap bolt could not be machined down and used as a pin?

Just looking for a pin with an actual bushing and not what looks like a single wrap of tape.

The replacement pins don't seem to be over grade-5.
