Yeah, doing the u joints for sure, they're shot, but the brakes are actually still in really good shape, and the bearings, too.

Doing tie rod ends, though. Those are shot, too. And then new tires when it's all back together.

Assuming I can ever get the frozen lower kingpin loose, that is.

Oh, I think I needs to go lie down for a while..
His wiring looked fine to me,
I used to wirewrap Burroughs mainframes and display terminals in the 70's before they had circuit boards and all of the wires were the same color.

Try to follow the wiring for military equipment, all of the wires are the same color, they are either numbered or have a numbered band on them to identify the circuit.

As I was driving home tonight from In N Out, my glove box fell out of the dash and hit the floor spilling years of junk all over the place.

The plastic hinge finally broke in apart,

Today I will figure out how to repair it.

Anyone know where I might find another one gray in color?

Jim

I hate plastic hinges! Try a piece of piano hinge. I have a computer server with plastic hinges on the door and the top one broke so I replaced it with another plastic hinge. It broke again. If you find a used one it will just break again. What if the doors had plastic hinges?

Probably time to go through the junk in your glovebox anyway.

Edwin

Installed a new "china" alternator. That fixed the high pitched screech that even I could hear. Since the old alternator was working, I should find a good shop to send it to for a proper rebuild. Replaced the rear gear oil, there's way too much "fuzz" on the magnet. No chunks yet! Got to fix the p-brake pedal. Going to grind the head of the center pin and probably replace with a bolt and nylock nut to take the slop out of it.

Odds are good the only thing wrong with the screeching alternator is a worn out pulley.

Pulley doesn't look wornout.

DON'T remove that pin/shaft in your p brake pedal assembly thinking you're going to replace it with a bolt, LOL. Screwed that one up. The Missus can jump outta the truck and throw a block under the tire!
