What did you do to your Gen 1 today?
So I called the mopar supplier (online) out of florida. They said they have the cable, and would ship it out today.
So, either they're lying and want to just charge me a quick $100 for a box of air mailed to my house, or I'll get the cable in a few days.
Not sure how this will go..... but it will be interesting.

Good evening gents... I drive the old rust and rattle every day just like most of you guys.
I noticed that the oil pressure was ssllooww to come up during this past winter but SPRING has sprung here in Alberta ... night time lows around 0C or a bit lower... daytime highs pushing 12C ...
Anyway I noticed that oil pressure is still ssllooww to come up ...
So what did I do to my 1st gen today??? Nothing but noticed another "something" I need to check into on an ever growing list with this old truck.
NJTman ... I'm gonna guess your fabbing up a support frame for a screen at the bottom of the windshield top of hood to block all the junk that makes its way into the heater box ...

Rebuilt trans is in!
We worked on it all day yesterday and till noon today to get the Getrag 360 installed along with a new flywheel and 13 inch clutch. The shifter is much tighter and no more slipping between gears YAY! The new clutch is also much easier on the foot.
Now it has a problem of when sitting in neutral with the clutch engaged (pedal UP) there is a noise that comes from the trans. It sounds like the gears are slapping together maybe. There is almost no noise while underway but this noise in neutral worries me.
Does anyone have a clue what it could be?
The stick had been broken and welded to the old stub so I don't have a new stick. I'll have to order one that screws on and install it when I get home. I also didn't count on the dust cover being bad so a new one of those will be in the works. Other than the noise I'm happy with the rebuilt trans.

Tabs mount onto stake pockets on the long runners. The short pieces are the height of the bed, and somehow lock/tie into the long runners. The short pieces have a tab welded at an angle due to bed contour.
Pre drilled holes attach to the inner top rail of the bed. The larger pre drilled holes are for attachment purposes of something heavy possibly. How it ties into structural slab residential and commercial slabs and footings is that it is reinforcement based, as whatever is attaching/hanging/supporting to those bars in the end can possible tweak the bed.
Have a feeling this becomes a carrier for materials such as plywood and/or sheet rock, mounted up high, and enables one to still have storage for tools under the material being supported.

Clutch cylinder?
Well I turned my wife loose in the truck and she got down the road. The clutch cylinder seems to have given up. The clutch is not disengaging so it cannot go into gear. I have a new setup coming in tomorrow at 1 pm so we'll replace it and see what's up.
