value ?? of '91 W350 FB 5spd- leaky inj pump

What's it worth?

non-rusty, but commercially used (179,000 miles) 4x4 CTD dually with nice HD Flatbed w/ winches and very HD pipe rack.

5spd, intercooler, Cab and Chassis, basic unit, decent shape

minor body dings

Pump seems to be leaking out the distributor head side of pump (o-ring?) Starts and runs fine (doesn't 'de-prime') leaks fast... not a stream, but serious dripping

I assume a rebuild on the pump would be ~$600, and then discounted for commercial use wouldn't make this thing a 'gold mine'. Gonna need tires, but would make a dandy farm truck. I'ld most likely fix and resell, as I'm still looking for a bigger truck, but a 5 spd would really help my downgrades with heavy towing. I hate relying on these brakes in my auto W350 (tho trailer has triple axles with full brakes too.)

I wouldn't suggest offering more than $2500. Try for less.

What are they asking? I would guess more than $2500. It would all depend on how it drives and how tight the drivetrain is. That isn't very many miles, and if proper maintenance was done, should be a good rig. If you pass on it, and the price isn't too out of line, please let me know where it's at.

Yeah, considering PNW prices, I'm sure it would fetch more than $2500.

currently priced at $3000, but I think there is room to whittle a little
any feedback on IP repair prices? ($600? just a guess)
Has anyone been successful in putting in their own $15. 'seal-kit'?

You will pay at least $600 to have somebody else do it. Alec changed his seals, I think he got all the leaks squared away. He's a very sharp guy though.

Sounds like Dave was right. $2500. My local shop charges $650+ tax to rebuild the pump. Mine was dripping pretty good, but was just the o-ring on the throttle shaft. Easy fix. It depends where the leak is. Personally, if it's in decent shape, I'd jump on it. Then again, I never claimed to be real bright.

I know a guy who does good work and can rebuild your pump for less than $600 for a basic springs, seals, and throttle shaft upgrade if needed. In fact, I know two.

Anyway, I had a ROUGH D350 C&C reg cab with a 11ft flatbed and who knows how many miles, (190K on the odo) that I was asking $3000, agreed to $2800, and the guy seemed happy to take it. I figure an extra $800-1000 for the 4x4 (assuming it has seen proper maintenace and doesnt need more than u-joints), then add $500-1000 for decent to good body condition. That takes us up to $4100 to $4800. The bed will depend on what you want, what it has, and the condition of it all.

I wouldnt take less than $6000 for the 92 in my signature, and it needs paint.
