7/8 = 14/16

13/16 is smaller, not bigger. I imagine you definitely do not want to drill the stock hole any larger. The second hole you drill can be the same size or a little smaller...probably doesn't matter much as long as it's close.

EDIT: You can not drill the second hole larger than the stock hole, as you have to run the bit through the stock hole to drill it.

Sorry, got my math backwards. It's this dang dylsexia.

I bored the stock wastegate port slightly oversize, figured it couldn't hurt. The flapper still covers it with about 1/8" of seat area.

16 cm housings are not wastegated, so this mod does not apply.

This isn't needed unless you can't keep the boost under control with the wastegate.

When do you want to do a compressor upgrade anyway? Sorry to ask this but would a 14cm w/g housing make the truck more peppy then a 16 with stock settings sorry again ? And with my stock settings would a wastegated housing be worth it? Thanks

if you have a 21cm housing the the 16 would work good if yours is 18....don't waste your time go directly to the 14 wg housing!
if $$$$ isn't no object, then the 14wg will out perform the 16 in stock and all leveles of power increese!!!!

I dunno how much I want to spend so how much would a 14cm w/g go for used?? I'm not looking for super high horse power just a little better gas milage and a little more pep. A 14 w/w will do this correct?
Thanks

Yes, the only draw back to the 14cm/wg housing is the cost!
you can get a 16 for around $150.00 new and a 14cm/wg is.....I don't remeber but there like 400 or some thing like that. if you've got it, it would be worth it cause it make the power come on a lot Quicker. the quicker you can get boost the quicker the pump will supply fuel!!! stock or turned up!!!
The only real way to get better mileage.....ether then keeping you foot out of it is puting taller gears in it! 3:55 or add an over drive like mine, see sign

Don't waste money on a 14 cm wastegated housing. If you have too much fuel for a 12 cm wastegated, and the boost is out of control with a 16 cm, then you flat out need a bigger turbo.

Get a used 12 cm wastegated or a 16 cm. If you are double-dog sure that you will never, ever, ever put bigger injectors in the truck, go ahead and get a non-wastegated 14 cm if you can't find a 12 cm wastegated for a decent price.

Hey Wanna, will the 12cm be better for me then with my fueling mods. A used 12cm w/g is way cheaper then a 14cm w/g. Though 12cm's non-w/g can be had for $165 brand new.

12cm wg

or

12cm non-wg?????

Don't get a non-gated 12. The boost will be too high even with stock injectors if you tweak the pump a lot.

For the fuel you have now, a 12 cm wastegated would work well. It will help your EGT at low RPM especially.

When I do get either a non/wastegated 14cm or a wastegated 12cm do I need to do anything to the air filter cause I noticed that darn near everyone has one of those bhaf? And I am for sure getting an exhaust from stans and that will fit either the 14 or the 12 correct??
Thanks sorry I'm just parinoid because I don't want to get the wrong one

No, you don't "have" to do anything with the air filter.

The downpipe may hit the heater box insulation. The small housings are 1.5" longer than the 16 cm and up housings. The downpipe can be shortened, no big deal there.

Wanna, if i already have to shorten the DP would it still be wise to go with the Stans 4" kit. Do I just cut 1" out between the flange and the elbow

I haven't seen the Stan's DP so I don't know if it will fit.

Mine is shortened as you describe. The heat shield touches the heater box insulation, but nothing has melted in 3 years.
