What kind of fly by night trucking company is this? Last time I shipped something by freight, I put down my estimate and when I took it down there, they took it off my truck with a forklift and took it right over to a scale. I had estimated 50 pounds over. Needless to say, I was happy for the unexpected savings...Mark

Maybe they found this on the old interweb. This is for just the tranny, must have been full of lead or a pallet made of gold...Mark

I would guess about 200#s a piece.
Did it include the Torque converter? - as those are heavy too.

Hi All,
I must be superuman, because I have moved this around the shop by myself. I have looked all over the web, and I find a weight of 171 for the a518 and 130 for the NP205. I guess we will see. I don't intend to pay for their 500 pound crap.
Thanks Val and all who have responded.
Mike

That sounds about right...I would have said about 200lbs for the tranny...and no more then 150 for the NP205.

I just remembered I have a fresh rebuilt NP205 in the garage. I converted it to a 29 spline...so will way a few extra pounds. I tossed it on the scale and it's a 150lbs on the nose!

I can take pics if you need them to win your beef against the shipping company.
