tranny? overdrive?

Hey everyone, so the other morning I was driving home when my tranny started acting up. I got on the highway and got up to 70 when my transmission started shifting from overdrive to third about every 50 to 100 yards and about 20 to 50 yards later it would shift back to overdrive. My tranny doesn't slip and I have not had any problems with it since I have had the truck. I don't know if its in my tranny or if its something with the overdrive.. maybe electrical? Anyone ever have this problem?

Oh, and it only does it if I go over 55 it seems. It's fine when I'm under that

I agree do the potentiometer it solved my overdrive issues and being an $8 fix versus the $200 TPS it is well worth it.

I converted mine to use a common $30.00 TPS for a 3.0 gasser. It's been working fine for nearly 3 years.

My dad and I did the fix on his 1993 dodge. It works great except that when you use the cruise, The speed will slowly creep up. Any Ideas?

If the speed creeps up then you might have it set too high try backing it down just a little.
