The is no TDC on the pump. You find TDC on your motor, lock in the pin, then use a dial indicator through the back of the IP to adjust it to the factory setting of 1.25mm for IC and 1.4mm for Non-IC motors.

Well if the motor is set at TDC all you need to do is line the key way on the IP up with the key way on the timing gear and your good to go. This will be close enough to get you running, then you can adjust things from there.
Also with the IP's I've done I noticed a small mark in the aluminum at about 5:30. When I have turned my motor and locked the IP it is usually lined up with that mark.
