Stupid question of the day
Any guesses on my Dana 70 gear ratio? I know it's not 410, but can't remember if it's 373 or 355. I guessed 373 when I bought a new speedo gear for the gear vendors, but can't drive it yet because the speedo cable is wrong, and I don't want to dump $40 bucks worth of Mopar Synthetic gear oil out the speedo hole!

I don't believe you could get 3.73 gears at that time, if it was an auto from the factory it is most likely 3.08, if it was a getrag it is most likely 3.53, however if it was a 1-ton than either could be 4.10's. I would be 95% positive you have 3.53 gears.

And you call that a stupid question?!, just be patient and watch me. I'll show you how it's done.
This is my first diesel, and I have to keep going to the definitions thread just to follow along.
