Squeaking sound in engine compartment
Only when cold, and varies with engine rpm, for about ten minutes then it disappears:
My suspects:
1. Idler pulley - I sprayed lubricant but did not stop the noise
2. Drive fan - I spayed lubricant on the shaft but did not stop the noise
3. Water pump?
4. Alternator?
5. Turbo?
6. What could it be?
It didn't make this sound in the pickup truck before I swapped the engine to my motorhome. Could it be due to the heavy degreasing that I did before the swap, or just components getting bad?

Quite possible the heavy degreasing dried out one of the bearings, that was probably compromised to begin with. But definitely remove the belt and see if the squeak is still present.
My wp bearing is squeaking the same as you describe.
When I replaced the belt, I felt a little growl in it. I'll be doing KDP this summer, and with it, replacing the WP @ that time.
There are two different WP's as far as I can tell, with the intercooled motor (mine) having a closed impeller.
Not sure what the big difference is... other than flow rate.

My vote goes for the tensioner. I had minor squeak like that a while back. Only did it when it was cold and went away after things warmed up enough. New tensioner and belt and I haven't heard it since!

So, I sprayed water on the belt while the engine was running (easy check) and the squeaking stopps instantly, but then the squeaking reappears several seconds later. Does this mean the belt (only 1000 miles old) is causing it?
is the tensioner out of alignment? they wear out, and are replaceable, from your local auto parts store. the belt wont track correctly, while running, you can use a 2' steel rod to locate bearing noise at each accessory and pulley, these motors are so noisy, tracing can be difficult.
