re routing fuel return line
re routing fuel return line
I was thinking to T the fuel return line on the suction side of the pump (I have a electric pump on the frame close to the tanks) so it would reuse the fuel not just pour it back on the tank, is this something that will create a future problem?
Thank You.
Thank You.
I wouldn't short circuit the return. Reason is that the fuel helps cool the pump and the return line fuel is hotter than the fuel in the tank. Might be OK for a drag or pulling truck but I don't think it will help on a road truck.
Thats a really bad idea. There's no way to get rid of excess air and self bleed the fuel system without a dedicated return. There's also the potential that an air leak in your return system could introduce air into your main fuel system causing all kinds of running problems with foamy fuel.
Thank You guys, that is why I asked here first. I guess is a no go.
Question
I understand the air leak is a possibility now the fuel temp well for some people using alternative fuels is actually a good thing to have the fuel at a higher temperature so that I don't see it as a problem now how can the fuel foam?
