Pyrometer and Boost Gauges

Having a hard time finding a dealer that can ship a pyrometer and boost gauge today or this week.I just ordered the stage IV upgrade and new 16m housing and will have it by Wednesday. Would like to get everything done all at once while I have the turbo off, but It looks as if I'll be waiting for gauges, (if I ever find a place that doesn’t take 6 weeks to ship) Well, another way I look at it is If I've already broke the turbo bolts loose it shouldn’t be that hard the second time around.

Now I must find a reverse torque wrench!

What was the sayng?? "Patience Grasshopper"

Regards,
Tom

Have you checked with Summit or Jeg's? I can't believe they can't get you a set quick.

i was gonna say the same thing that DJ already did. tap it while you have the turbo off, then plug it. at the same time i tapped both mine with the turbo on. little pen magnet and get everything you can. then take the intake hose off and start it up, first little puff will shoot everything through and as long as the turbo spins you know nothing is caught.

You guys are more ambitious than me! That's alot of work to do all at once. It took me hours to install each gauge, doing one at a time, for the most part.

Thanks Guys,

I was looking again and found a place that has what I need, but would like to find the plastic piece that mounts up near the left of the windshield. Seems most places don’t have 88-93. Not sure I want to drill and tap just yet, unless all the thermo coupler and hardware all matches up in regards to threads etc. If they are all pretty much universal what size drill bit, and tap? I was going to take the pyrometer kit to the auto parts store and match it all up there. But if it’s all the same, than I'll do what was recommended and prepare it ASAP. Just one less thing that I would have to do later, and I'll have to drink a lot of Irish Breakfast Tea to keep me moving.

Just don’t tell my wife!

Most pyrometers are either 1/8 NPT or 1/4 NPT (tapered pipe thread). I forget which size drill bits they use.

If you are talking about the pillar mount check out Geno's Garage.
