Put p-pump in or wait untill new motor is done??

Ok, looking for a few unbiased opinions. The plans are to put a p-pumper in the 1st gen I know right.. Well, I think it will be sweet so thats all that counts. Now that we have that out of the way!!

Should I wait untill I rebuild the whole p-pump motor and go that way... Which will have o-ringed head, new piston's/bearings the works, Hamilton cam head studs and a few other goodies

OR

Swap the p-pump onto the first gen with maybe a cam and have some fun?

But the problem is, my trans is not going to handle any more pwr. So, I think I can afford this yr to do the trans and swap the pump with a cam. But, I dont think I can swing a motor build and a trans build. So what would you guys do??

I'd say wait til the motor is done, put a manual in it, and then sell that 47rh to me!

Unless you just like fixing stuff, you've answered your own question . . .

How do you kill the transmission by putting a P-pump in? Aren't they pretty weak at stock settings just like a VE?

Respond very quickly with fuel plate, delivery valves, timing, Gov. springs

Easily 450hp worth of fuel right there.

id just wait off on everything. build the motor, save, build the trans and put it all in at once. theres nothing wrong with ur VE i take it right? id just hold off until u have both ends built and then put it all together at once. my opinion. cuz with the P pump on the VE motor the injectors would need tended to. 2nd gen sticks changed out with 1st spray pattern nozzles to make it work correctly ( or i do believe anyways, i could be wrong. i just kno pop pressure and spray patterns are different)
