I went to go to work today...started up like normal, and idled for 2 or 3 seconds then died flat. Repeated this 2 more times untill I realized something was wrong

So, plugged my Smarty (currently running level 2) in and had the P 0602 code.....checksum error or whatever that means.

Cleared the code (kept the same Smarty level) tried again to start and got the same start & die results.

So, I reset the software back to stock and now it runs fine....I havent done any updates to my Smarty since I purchased it about 6 months ago or so. I understand theres a fix for the P0602 code, but that it may not be related to my starting issue.

Here's the real strange thing, Now my keyless remotes don't work and the security light in the dash is on while driving.
Just wondering if the brain trust on here has any ideas before I'm at the mercy of the dealer. I've still got a bit of factory warranty left.

Do you guys think that the P0602 code had anything to do with the "dies at start up" problem.
If ,or when, I take it to the dealer, should I just act dumb? .....an easy act to do in this case

You need to go to Mads web site and update your software I believe. I read somewhere that Marco wrote a fix for that error.

 

I wouldn't worry about the 602 code. That code should get erased when programmed back to stock.

Sounds like an issue with the security module.
