Pre heater gasket???

I'v got a small (very eariting) leak at the top of fuel heater. Ichanged fuel filter, of course the whole nipple came off and let the heater down ( hey i didn't know it's my first time ) Panick!!! Go to sticky, read filter, heater replacement,GREAT WRITE UPS, (stop panic k).Use "O" ring from oil filter!!! ,it is 4x as thick as stock "o" ring, is this the norm?, will it work yes or no??? Waiting on you guy's be for i install ,or not.

Thicker won't matter much as long as the diameter is correct. Just make sure it's in the right spot and the stud gets tight.

I used the oil filter gasket. Notice how the stud has notches in it? Find something that you can use like a screwdriver to tighten the stud in. A big screwdriver would probably do it. I used a pair of vice grips holding a flat washer.

I noticed more power and lower fuel use when I did mine.
