pre heater

Might be a dumb question, but I just put a tilt steering column in my 93 250 cummins, and now my pre heater doesn't work. Is there a differance in the wireing, between a column out of a gasser, and the one for the diesel. I asked our local dealer, and the person I talked to knew even less about it than I do,and I talked to a friend of mine that runs a salvage yard, and he couldn't find the answer for me either. Could it be a bad switch? thanks.

The wiring on the Cummins key swicth, is very different from a gas. Use all the old wiring plug ends and key swicth, from your old column. The intake heater works off the first turn of the key. The gas swicth dose,nt have the same inturnel parts for the intake heater. Good luck Let me know if u get them working again.
