for temporary use, couldn't you put a cut peice of steel down in there to hold the pin from coming out far? I know it wouldn't move with the AFC, but you could drive you truck around (with limited feuling of course, since the pin can't push out anymore than the steel peice will allow) untill your dennyT comes in?
