Mystery bolts... Pls help
Hello all,What I imagined would be brief Google search or at VERY most a call to the local Dodge parts centre has somehow proven otherwise.
The problem is; I have a 1992 cummins 5.9 12 valve engine which is intended to get swapped into a Ford or GMC one ton eventually.
I am in the process of building that engine and need the three starter bolts....yes....that easy.... The three factory starter mount bolts. Yet neither other threads on the net nor the dealer could tell me the part number or the bolt sizing to get ones made.
All I have been able to learn on the net is that they are NOT p/n 3903834 /m10-1.50x35mm as this bolt is only for 2nd gens.
Lastly, no I do not have any existing starter bolts to take out and just match up..
Any input would be absolutely great.

Thanks for the quick replies gents. I am really trying to source these things and have been for a while.
Hopefully someone can confirm the m10-1.75x38(ish) specs?. Not questioning you mate, just looking to have them made (once) at a hardware store if no one has the part #.
Thanks again guys!

Unless you are trying to build a 100 point concourse show truck, I would just get grade 8 or better bolts. use a lock washer and some blue locktight and call it good. You can only see 1 of them from the top anyway...Mark

As Edwin suggested, I do have a container of factory starter bolts in the shop if you need the OEM 12 point 10 MM bolts.
PM me if you would like.
Otherwise a bolt like Mark suggested would work.

Try removing a bolt from another part that looks similar and try threading it in....if it fits then go to the harware store and get some grade 8 bolts that match and your done.
I myself have buckets of old nuts, bolts, screws, washers etc, from many projects, part cars/trucks, and stuff over the years, very rarely do I ever have to buy any.
