Got the rears painted and new springs installed. It's sitting on it's own running rear now. I put a new condenser in while everything was apart it will also get a new receiver dryer,

Is that what an old Banks intercooler looks like? Pretty similar shape and size to the 2nd gen intercooler.

 

Thanks, yes that is a Banks intercooler setup, it was on the truck when I got it in '96. I pressurized it to check for leaks and 20psi was good, 30psi was good, it got away from me and hit 40psi and blew my plug off, lol. But no leaks.

 

A buddy of mine stopped by yesterday and helped me set the cab and inner fenders, it's always nice to have an extra set of hands and eyes on some of these steps.

 

Got the cab on, hooked everything up and hoped it would start. After bleeding, she lit right off, that was a big relief. So now I'm going after the left front cab mount while access is still good.

 

Got the cab mount welded in. The stringers that attached to the mount were rusted out also so I made repair pieces to be able to attach them to the mount.

 

I've been hanging and aligning panels as best as I could. I sandblasted the back side of the bumpers and just epoxied them, after lunch I will paint them frame black also. Then I have just the plow frame to paint and it will be done, for now.

Time to bring this thread to a close. I hung the bumpers , gave it a quick wash and took it out for a 15 mile test run. It ran good felt good and no issues popped up. It should outlast me now. Hope you enjoyed watching, I enjoyed the task.
