How much boost and egts
How much boost and egts
I have a stock 92 auto one turn on the fuel screw. Empty I see about 10 psi and with empty stock trailer it will get up to 15 and my egts will be 1200 or thier abouts. My probe is mounted pre turbo. Dose this seem like every thing is normal would like to get some more power what next? Thanks for the help.
Sounds like you may have a boost leak, but '92's tend to be a little weak from the factory.
'92's have the awful 21 cm turbine housing, you will find that a 16 cm turbine housing will lower your EGT and give you better bottom end response.

Sounds like your laggy housing on the turbo is causing you to have less boost while towing than you should have...see my sig for a few other basic mods you can do to make power
The only think that I am missing that most people do is a timing bump.
PS--Wasn't your Plymouth in a car mag a long time ago?

The hot rod was in Mopar Muscle Magazine in January 2001, Popular HotRodding in October 2008, and as a background car for a segment of the TV show rides in 2004.

This old beater has been around.
I really don't care about it not being perfect, as long as it's fun.

Yeah, the car is rough and all but did the have to begin the article with the line "Think of it as the Joan Rivers of hot rods"? That almost hurt my poor widdle feeling. Good thing I left it (the feeling) at home that day.

Yeah i bet its your laggy 21cm turbo. I have a 92, and when i had the stock turbo, and it was stock with a straight pipe, it hit about 16 lbs and then when i turned my pump up, it hit about 21 lbs and ran really hot... so I think its your turbo, Then i put an he351 on with the 9cm housing on it and its a night and day difference, I went from 21 lbs to 40 lbs... and it runs way way cooler! and it spools so much quicker. So i say change the turbo or at least the housing
