There are some firewall differences over the years due to heater box changes but overall there the same

Another difference is the pre-overdrive 2wd cabs are different than the 4wd. The center hump is smaller on a non-OD 2wd.

I have a 2wd gasser auto cab off an 86 on my 91. There is no accomodations for a manual tranny (no problem for me because my truck is an auto) on the firewall and I had to address the hump for the t.case by cutting the 2wd hump out and cutting and bolting the hump out of my 91 cab into the 86 cab. I used the heater box and heater core out of the 86. I don't know if they were the same or not but it works fine.

Subtle year-to-year changes but no same year differences between gas & diesel that I know of - except badges! Cowl cracks were free!

Ok, thanks guys, the reason I asked is because I rolled my truck on the 3rd and now I'm gonna be in the process or fixing it. I have to re fiber glass the dually fender, new front quarter panel, new door and either repair or replace cab.

Training wheels or not, if you have no choice but to drive up a bank diagonally to avoid a head on collision or re ending, your gonna have to come down some how.

Yeah, what I got from insurance is way more than what it'll cost to fix it so when I'm done it'll be all that for the next couple years.
