I have noticed when I tow with my truck and the EGTs get warm (~1200F), my boost is only around 25-30 lbs, even when I'm above 2200 RPM. If I give it more fuel and reach 35 pounds of boost, my EGTs are too warm (1400F). This doesn't bother me too much and I try to keep my EGTs 1200 or less. My adjustable boost elbow is screwed all the way in. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing as I have.

 

you have got a ton of fuel for a stock turbo, that alone will make it hot. Have you checked for any boost leaks? with all that fuel you should be able to see 40+ pounds of boost.

 

I can see 45+ lbs of boost if I really get on it. I would like to get another turbo(s), but being in college puts a damper on that fund.

 

If it's just for play pick up a second hand hx40 or something cheap off of craigs list, probably get there for a couple hundred bucks.

 

Tons of fuel for the stocker!! Is this a pullin or racin truck? Maybe look into a hybrid for cheap. Imo opinion I would get rid of the lc dvs and the plate is only hinderin you rack travel mod.
