after looking at them piston (after they were clean) ......I thing i have been babying mine to much.

YOU have more then Double the miles, probably double the timing, definitely more fuel and air..............and them piston looked good!

So what did your pump timing come out too, or did you get around to using the dial indicator?

Nice videos even with a blurry hose

We didn't have time to check timing...the gear is bumped one tooth and the pump is halfway to the head. It's been farther. With those settings, I've seen my 1500* pyro pegged time and time again which says two things:

1-these old mills are tough

2-the biggest restriction a 12v faces is the 12v head itself. Even with my comically huge intercooler, it'll still get smokin hot on stock injectors.

sorry about poor vid quality. just crank it up and listen

What kind of fluctuation are you seeing? My Cummins thermostat wanders slowly back and forth about 1/2" on the gauge in cold weather if the fan is on the truck.

Yep. Unfortunately I don't think that truck is worth a new head.

Just don't go 24 valve on us.

Pull it back off and smear JB Weld in the cracks. It'll run for a while that way.

and then just remove the thurm..............No what, you would still need to stop the coolant from being forced into the over flow
