I actually switched back to a normal shift ****...still have the ram though!

Got a few things done while coffee was brewing:

Injectors are in.
Return banjos are in.
Valve covers are on.
High pressure lines are on.

To do this AM:

Have to go to Lowes for 2 manifold to turbo nuts.
Have to get new plastic boost gauge line.
Going BACK to the 12cm housing, need to plumb wastegate line in.
It should run today. I'll make videos

Hey Greg why are you switching back to the 12, don't you like the way the truck reacts with the 18?

Ryan,
Since I've pulled a little timing out, the 18.5 won't keep the boost under 40psi. If this gasket holds, I'd rather not do this again any time soon The 12 will hold all the fuel I've got to as low as 20psi. I've got it set for 35 right now, IIRC. Just fired the truck. Video uploading

Fortunately, no Just got done getting up to temp...still some coolant bleeding to be done and then I'll go for a drive. T-stat opened and everything is holding pressure and the coolant overflow is calm so far. As for the vid, it's kinda long, but it should give a good idea of how quickly these engines can be bled. Sadly, I didn't get all the air out of #6 untill 30 seconds after my camera ran out of memory My bleeding process is like this:

crack the overflow on the pump and cycle the lift pump untill nothing but a solid stream of fuel comes out. Tighten it back up. In this case, the high pressure lines had been off and were completely empty, as were the injectors. I cracked injectors 2-3-4 and left 1-5-6 tight. No reason on the order other than 2-3-4 was easy to get to. As you can see from the video, a bone dry truck can be up and running in about 4 minutes. Sorry about the coolant hose in front of the cam

Well, I got a testdrive in...I'm not sure exactly what's up. Still can't get the temp gauge to stabalize and heat is soso....but, no coolant overflow blowout like before, even after holding 25psi for 5 seconds, 3 times in 2 miles. I'm not sure what to think. The engine runs great, top and bottom rad hoses are warm/hot and holding pressure. I'm going to grab an el-cheap-o mechanical temp gauge tomorrow before I jump to conclusions. I'm not gonna change my sig untill I've got heat in the cab

Oh, video of smooth running coming up

Don't worry about the temp fuctuation. It takes forever to get all of the air out.
