Grid heater and IAT sensor delete

After reassembling my 93 without hooking up the sensors needed for my grid heater I'm having issues.

All the lights on the information Center are lit. The wait to start light is flashing. When I took everything apart there was no problems.

A side note is my a/c system is having some electrical problems also. The relay does not kick on when you turn the key on, not delivering 12v + to the compressor.

Thanks for any help

Check your grounds..make sure they are all super clean and shiny metal, bit of dielectric grease, and re-assemble.

Not saying this is going to solve your problem, but the first thing you should do to help mitigate further issues.

WTS shouldn't be flashing, it should be on solid for a couple of seconds, then until the heaters time out if needed. You have a PCM problem. Start with the grounds.

Alright guys I checked all the grounds and cleaned them up. No change.

So is it possible my computer is fried? Any way to test before just replacing? Maybe it's also causing my a/c issue.

Thanks for the help

Look in the sticky for a procedure to test your grid heater solenoids....perhaps one of them is bad. But from what I can remember reading the flashing WTS light is not a good sign.

Have you checked your CPS to make sure it is gapped properly....if not the AC will not work. Also have you swapped out the AC relay for another...could be just a bad relay?

Thanks for the reply! Grid heater relays were removed and the leads taped up.

I did double check the sensor and it's good. The tach is still reading also but I'm not sure if that matters.

I did swap the relay with no luck.

I will unwrap the solenoid wiring and make sure nothing is shorting out.

Does anyone have a good test to run on the Grid heater and sensors? I'm not sure if all of the wires are hook up correctly (the small booted wires).

Grids not clicking, WTS lights not coming on, and it was 50 degrees this morning!

50 degrees would be too warm for the grids to cycle.
