Fuel pin leak/diagram

So I re sealed the top half of my pump and now I have fuel leaking from the aneroid rubber breather. I must have messed something up when replacing the o-ring on the fuel pin. I read the sticky about repairing a leaky fuel pin, but I can't quite figure out how the parts go back in. What way does the brass retainer go? Does anyone have a diagram or pictures of the order the parts go in. Thanks.

with the top off and plug out, the hex/"allen brass" holds the oring that seals the fuel pin, is that the part? it threads against the oring( the side ball plugs and pin have to be removed ) to access.

So the o ring sits inside the cupped brass washer after you remove the hex plug? I am pretty sure that is how I assembled it. I'll pull the top off the pump again tomorrow and see.

I think this is the diagram I need. But I don't see the fuel pin in the picture.

go to the sticky at the top of the 1st gen forum page and scroll down to engine section, and find "leaking fuel pin" some good pics, the last one I did, the seal sat just behind the hex plug.

probably should remove seal inspect for fit/damage, look for debris in seal retainer, fuel is passing there somehow

I agree. I had the same kind of leak on one of the IP I resealed. Turned out I nicked the seal on the threads when installing it and it was leaking past.

Had to buy an entire DGK-121 just for that little O-ring.

thanks guys I got it figured out. Took the pump apart 4 times, the o-ring looked good so I was sure I installed it wrong. But just like thrashingcows I had to buy a whole new seal kit just for that o-ring and now there is no leaks. I guess on the bright side I can take the pump off and on in half the time. Best thing I discovered is using an allen wrench with the little ball on the end. It makes getting to that back hex bolt a breeze.

don't know old you are but you might not look at another pump for along time, its like learning all over again when you get back into one, first one I ever did on a generator, popped the top, reached in with long needle nose to release spring, top released, no spring, no clue there were 5 other parts involved, spring, gone forever, rest of the unknown parts, under governor.
