Welcome to DTR! And save your money!! Search for "old smokey" or "ol smokey" if you r even somewhat mechanically inclined u can do the mod yourself, and save 200 dollars for other things. All it takes is maybe an hour, n a dremel tool. Its very easy to get at it, Im assuming u have a Pyro installed? I dont recommend this mod w/o one. let alone much else either, but every truck responds differently to the mods. The old smokey fuel pin typically nets an extra 100* EGT. (same for the bully dog pin) they just make one then jack the price a mile high.

oh, sorry, the pin is under the AFC top. looking at the pump u see a cover with 4 flathead screws and a round cap in the middle, (the smoke screw adjustment is under that cap) remove the 4 screws, and the boost line on the back side of the top your about to remove, i think its 12 or 14 MM, watch out for the 2 copper washers! once thats all removed, pull the top off, now u will see a rubber diaphram, pull that out, thats the fuel pin. Note there is a deep side, and shallow side. Stock, the shallow side will be facing to the front of the truck. You can either replace the whole pin with an aftermarket one, cut it to an old smokey pin, or just simply turn the pin so the deep side is facing toward the front of the truck. Then reinstall everything. There is a nylon washer, just slide it onto the pin n slide it back into the spring.
Also, when u pull the pin u will see a star wheel in there. This sets the tension on just how much boost is required to start the pin in its travel downward. Adjust it to your liking, this basically determines just how long it'll take before u reach full fuel.

If you don't want to grind the pin, then PM Old Smoky right here on this site. He's the original manufacturer/researcher of the fuel pin. The bullydog is a knock off and also costs more. Old Smoky's price is $124 now if you PM him.

PDR has the fuel pin for 175$ but you get 100 of that back after sending hem your old fuel pin, so they cost 75 bucks. www.piersdieselresearch.com
