Round 7 pin to 7 pin flat
Round 7 pin to 7 pin flat
I welded a trailer hitch receiver on my water truck today. The water truck has a 7 pin round. My trailer is 7 pin flat that fits my Dodge. Does anyone make the opposite of this wiring harness........ http://shop.easternmarine.com/index....categoryID=284
I need 7 pin round into water truck. And 7 pin flat into trailer.....????? I know I can just get a 7 pin flat end for the water truck. But an adapter would be SO MUCH lazier...
Thanks....

Dave, typically the 7 round is used for heavy truck applications. There are seperate feeds for brake lights and turn signals. 7 blade has the brake lights and turns combined (both turns illuminated for brake). You would need to check the wiring out and see what would have to be done. I think its going to be somewhat complicated.
chaikwa.
Exactly like the janitor said , you will need to make your own harness, I made one for a trailer i borrowed a year ago, I got a cable for a tractor trailer, with 7 round pin connectors on both ends , cut one off , and put on a 7 pin flat connector, It took me two tries to make all the lights work right , but that was because i didn't check anything first, sit down with a test light and a wiring diagram , and it worked right the second time.
