drinding fuel pin

grinding fuel pin

ok so last night i got beat in a best out of three race by a buick regal! it was one of my friends but it got me thingkin on grinding my feul pin a little and getting some more ponies without losing power. how do i do this? and would it just be easier to get an old smokey pin? does anyone have anything laying around?

I have been trying the search option today but its not working, does anyone have picture of the before and after of grinding their own pin?? I am intersted in doing it myself to save some cash!

Yep sure do, I'll be right back with the link. I dont know why Greg left a V in the pin, but as far as i know most carve that out too. I did anyway. I'll have a link in a sec....

Notice how the pin comes down at one angle, then it comes back out? thats the V im refering too.
I didnt try the search function at all yesterday.

ok so lets say i dont have the steadiest hand to do this. is there an alternative. i PMd old smoky and he never got back to me. is there and company that makes them for under 200 bucks? ive seen dyno-mite diesels and bully dogs but thats it. and is there anyone else on here who could possibly make one?

PDR www.piersdiesel.com has them for 175 but you get 100 of that back when you send them your old pin. so its only 75 for the pin, and its hardened.

You dont need surgon hands to do it really, like i said, its hardened steel, so it takes 90% of your time just grinding on the pin.
However I have thought about purchasing one, just so I didnt have to permanently butcher mine.

I dont see any reason why not, but I dont know anything bout them though. I guess as long as it'll chew it down, n leave a nice smooth surface. The dremel comes in real nice for the last little bit offine tuning n getting up into the neck.
