DDP Injectors
Hey Guys, Quick question, Can u run ddp 140 horsepower 94-98 12v injectors in our trucks and if so how do they compare with like 6x16s. the hole size measurements compared to the horsepower measurments confuse me. And nother question, how much would be involved in changing out the compressor seal in an HX-35? Big deal or not?

I believe the spray pattern is wrong for our pickups, do you know the number of holes and size on the 140s? Not sure about the seal. I called ddp up the other wanting to get a price for some 6x18s and they told me theres no way a ve pump could flow enough fuel for injectors that big, "It would take 3 VE's to do that, a p-pump could barely keep up" he said. I told him that's what many people are running but he seemed very sceptical. Also if you want to to run competition or custom injectors from them you have to fill out a big disclaimer listing your pickup and all the mods you have done, saying you won't hold them liable for destroying your engine by dumping that much fuel blah blah.... I think I will be getting my injectors elsewhere. However, there are quite a few people running their stage 1-4's and i haven't heard any complaints.

You cannot run any 94-98 injector as they're setup for a different injector pump, the p-pump operates at a much higher pressure then our VE pump. If you tried to run these setup for a p-pump the VE pump would die very quickly trying to pop off the injectors. Also the injector line is slightly different, different angle so they won't seal.
What you can do is use the 2nd gen tips on 1st gen bodies.

the 140's are 5x14... the spray patterns shouldnt be different, the heads are the same just a notch cut in the p-pump heads to clear the overflow valve, but the thread size is smaller on the ve injectors compared to the p-pump, and they do have different pop pressures, but you can buy a set of nozzles and have them put in your injector boddies and set for the correct psi.

DDP4 injectors are 5x.013..
435's are 5x.014
370's are 5x.012
6x16 are 6x18's custom, 6x18's are really big and would take alot of turbo to clean them up, would work good on a truck with twins and a good trans. 6x18's on a truck with like an hx35/40 hybrid would probably make less power then it would with some 6x16's or smaller, thats just how it works
